Studying with us

At The Home School Project, we believe in creating a dynamic, flexible, and engaging learning environment for all our students. Our approach is built around project-based learning (PBL), daily skills workshops, and regular check-in sessions, all designed to foster key life skills and nurture independent thinkers. With a holistic approach to education, students not only cover core academic content but also develop essential competencies for life beyond the classroom.

Our curriculum is designed to adapt to the unique needs of each student. Whether your child prefers working independently or thrives in a group setting, we offer the flexibility to tailor their experience to suit their learning style. We ensure that every project, workshop, and enrichment activity is engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the challenges of the 21st century.

By blending academic content with skill development, we prepare students not only for exams and further education, but also for the real world, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in life.

Timetables

We currently cater to students aged 7 to 14, offering flexible learning pathways tailored to individual needs and preferences. If your child falls outside this age range and you’re interested in joining, please get in touch—we are actively expanding our offerings.

At The Home School Project, we don’t believe students need to be sat in back-to-back lessons to prove they’re learning.

Instead, we nurture self-motivated and independent learners with strong time management and adaptability skills. Our timetable is designed to balance independent project work, collaborative sessions, and skills development workshops, allowing students to take control of their educational journey.

To support students further, we provide collaborative group chats where they can connect with teachers and peers to ask questions or seek guidance throughout the day.

This online format ensures students who need help during independent study time can get support without needing to attend a live session. Each day includes a blend of live workshops and independent study, offering students the flexibility to work at their own pace while still receiving consistent teacher support.

At The Home School Project, no two days are exactly the same, but here’s what a typical day might look like for a student:

Skills Workshops

Skills Tree

Our daily skills workshops are designed to support students in developing both the academic and life skills needed for success.

Each session begins with a check of each student's project plan for the day. We help them identify any academic skills they may need to carry out their work—whether that's Maths, literacy, or another subject area—and also focus on the key competencies from our skills curriculum.

We review learning points from the previous day to ensure students are making steady progress with their projects and can move forward confidently during their independent study sessions.

This process allows us to provide personalised guidance while promoting independent thinking and self-directed learning.
