Theme Park Tycoon: Design Your Own Theme Park Step into the role of a theme park designer, engineer and business manager as you take on the challenge of creating an exciting new theme park from the ground up. In this six-week STEM and enterprise project, children design their own theme park, deciding everything from ride locations and park layout to budgeting, marketing and visitor experience. Along the way, pupils explore how engineers design rollercoasters, how parks plan safe and efficient layouts and how businesses attract visitors. Blending maths, science, geography, design technology and business thinking, this project encourages children to think creatively, solve problems and make real-world decisions. 🎢 Design thrilling attractions – Plan a range of rides and experiences for your park, including your own rollercoaster. 🗺️ Map your park using coordinates – Create a detailed theme park layout and plan visitor routes. ⚡ Explore the science of rollercoasters – Discover how gravity, speed and forces make rides work. 💷 Manage a realistic budget – Make decisions about ride costs, park features and ticket prices. 📊 Use maths in context – Calculate spending, ticket revenue and potential profits. 🎨 Build your park’s identity – Design a theme, logo and marketing materials to attract visitors. 📘 Create a theme park portfolio – Record research, designs, maps and planning decisions. 🎤 Pitch your park to investors – Present your final theme park concept and explain why it should be built. Each week introduces a new design challenge, helping pupils build confidence in problem-solving, creativity and independent thinking. If your child enjoys designing, building ideas, solving challenges or imagining exciting new worlds, this project offers a fun and engaging introduction to engineering, design and entrepreneurship.
